Fu'an Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou City.

Attraction Introduction

This is the oldest bridge in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, originally built in 1355. It was later rebuilt as a stone arch bridge with funding from Shen Guan (commonly known as Shen Wanshi), the younger brother of Shen Wansan, and was renamed Fu'an Bridge. Four two-story bridge houses stand by the water at the bridge’s entrance. Interestingly, the first and second floors are not connected—you must use the stairs beside the stone bridge to reach the second floor.

Fu'an Bridge features five rare Wukang stones and many auspicious carvings. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the waterways and take memorable photos. Special Tips

Because Fu'an Bridge is quite unique, it attracts many visitors. It is recommended to avoid peak tourist seasons such as holidays, otherwise, even taking a solo photo can be difficult.
