Puqing Bridge

Puqing Bridge, also known as Yu Family Bridge, was first built in the 11th year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1733) and was renovated during the Qianlong era. The bridge is made of granite, features a single-arch design, runs east-west, and spans the city river. It is 18.5 meters long, 2.8 meters wide, with a clear span of 6 meters and a height of 3.75 meters. The structure is largely well-preserved. It has bridge couplets including the phrase “Smoke drifts from both banks, connecting to the sea market; waves surge in the stream, linking to the Clear Lake.” In December 2005, it was listed among the first batch of controlled and protected buildings in Kunshan City.
