Shaoli Bridge

Shaoli Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou.

Also known as "Wan'an Bridge," Shaoli Bridge is located in Xinlong Village, Zhangpu Town, Kunshan City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It was first built during the Shunzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, renovated in the Kangxi era, and rebuilt in the first year of the Daoguang reign (1821) and the eleventh year of the Xianfeng reign (1862).

The bridge runs east-west and spans the Nantang River. It is 74 meters long and 3.60 meters wide, with a height of 4.5 meters. The spans from east to west are 7.60 meters, 9.80 meters, and 7.30 meters respectively. Constructed from granite, the bridge is a three-arch structure. The arches feature continuous vertical joints laid in parallel sections and remain well-preserved. As a rare ancient three-arch bridge in the Jiangnan region, it holds significant cultural heritage value.

In 2004, Shaoli Bridge was designated as part of the third batch of cultural relic protection units of Kunshan City by the municipal government.

The town features distinctive industries and an elegant environment. Airport Road, which runs east-west across the town, naturally separates modern industry from ecological agriculture, highlighting the harmony between humans and nature.
