The Ni Family Residence on Da Fanjia Lane is a cultural heritage site protected by Yangzhou Municipality.

The Ni Family Residence on Da Fanjia Lane

This is a Republican-era residence facing south, divided into eastern and western sections by a fire lane, covering a construction area of 321.02 square meters. The main gate faces north and is adorned with an arched brick gate tower. The eastern part of the residence has two courtyards: the front section contains a kitchen and study, and the rear section is a three-bay residence with side rooms. The western part also has two courtyards—the first being three bays wide, and the second a three-bay residence with side rooms. There is a hexagonal well located in the lane to the west of the house. The structure is generally well-preserved, with intact latticed doors in the central bay, operable lattice windows and sill walls in the side rooms, and a courtyard paved with a mat-patterned floor, giving it a simple and elegant feel. The original owner was Ni Yueqing, who once worked at the Teaching Ground Sauce Industry Unified Labor Union.
