The former site of the headquarters of the 2nd and 3rd detachments of the New Fourth Army Advance Column is a Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the headquarters of the 2nd and 3rd detachments of the New Fourth Army Advance Column is located on Fanrong Street, Yongji Community, Daqiao Town, Jiangdu District. It was originally housed in the residence of Liu Hou, an enlightened local gentry during the Republican era. Locals refer to it as the "Liu Family Compound." This courtyard was built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period. In 1938, when the New Fourth Army crossed the Yangtze River heading north to resist the Japanese invasion, the 2nd and 3rd detachments of the New Fourth Army Advance Column, commanded by Chen Yi, set up their headquarters here. Given the building’s significant value in studying the history of the New Fourth Army's resistance against Japan, the provincial cultural relics bureau included it in the wartime cultural relics rescue and protection project. Its renovation work has now been completed, and it will be used for historical and cultural exhibitions in the future.

In March 2019, the former site of the headquarters of the 2nd and 3rd detachments of the New Fourth Army Advance Column was designated as part of the eighth batch of Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
