The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (Yangzhou Section) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the longest man-made river in the world, stretching from north to south and serving as a bridge that connects over two thousand years of Chinese civilization.

The Yangzhou section of the canal is the oldest part of the Grand Canal. The ancient canal in Yangzhou has clear water that flows through the city, with numerous historic sites along its banks and uniquely interesting local customs.

Transportation

By car: Take the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway / G312 direction, enter G42, drive along G42, turn slightly right towards Wuxi / Beijing / Jiangyin Bridge / G2, enter G2, drive along G2, continue towards Taizhou / Nanjing / Beijing / G2, then drive towards Yangzhou / Nanjing / G40, turn slightly right to enter G40, drive along G40, exit at Yangzhou (East) after passing Xiaozhuzhuang, drive along Wenchang East Road, turn slightly right to enter Wenchang Middle Road, drive along Wenchang Middle Road, turn right at Jiefang Bridge into Taizhou Road, drive along Taizhou Road to reach the destination (on the right side of the road)

Ticket: 60 RMB

Free policy: Children under 1.2 meters tall are admitted free of charge

Discount policy: Children between 1.2 – 1.4 meters tall, seniors over 70 years old with ID, and disabled persons with disability certificates all enjoy a 50% discount
