Residential Compound of the Zhu Salt Merchants

It is now a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit, located at No. 342-346 Guoqing North Road in the urban area. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it was the residence of salt merchants brothers Zhu Chunsan and Zhu Kunshan. Facing south and covering an area of 746 square meters, the compound has a ceremonial gate along the central axis beyond the entrance hall. Upon entering the gate, you reach the main hall, which is three bays in width and seven rafters in depth. The hall contains exquisitely crafted bamboo screens. Behind the hall is a winding corridor, while the rear residential section consists of three rooms with two side wings. Both the hall and the living quarters to the east have suites, guest rooms, and studies, with servants' quarters situated to the west.
