The Fang Family Residence is now a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit, located at No. 33 Yinshi Street in the downtown area. It was originally the residence of Fang Erxian, a third-place candidate (Tan Hua) in the late Qing Dynasty imperial examinations. The upper part of the gate tower is carved with a phoenix, the middle with plum blossoms, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, and peonies, and the lower part with figures representing the three celestial stars of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity. On both sides are eight-character walls made of polished bricks, each currently featuring a small door—though the designs on these were covered with plaster during the Cultural Revolution.
