Former Residence of Wang Boling

It is now a municipal-level cultural heritage site, located at No. 44 Huaihai Road in the city center. It was built by Wang Boling, a former Executive Committee member of the Kuomintang, covering an area of 2,340 square meters. The residence is a garden-style Western-Chinese hybrid mansion. The main gate faces southeast (with a side entrance on the west side of the courtyard), and the porch features wooden carvings. The building stands in the center of the yard, facing south, and is a two-story reinforced concrete and brick-wood hybrid structure with a sloped roof. The middle sections of both the first and second floors feature spacious living rooms, with a veranda on the southern side of the lower floor. The second-floor living room opens to a large balcony, with rooms on both the upper and lower sides, and a corridor behind the hall. The northern side has a staircase and auxiliary rooms. In front of the building is a garden, with rockeries and a pond built against the western wall, and a half pavilion in the southwest corner. The eastern part of the courtyard has a long corridor with small blue tile roofing, connecting the gate to the main building. The courtyard also includes lawns and ancient trees such as boxwoods and magnolia. It is currently used as a guesthouse for the Security Bureau.
