Former Residence and Tomb of Wang Shaotang

The former residence and tomb of Wang Shaotang are protected as municipal cultural heritage sites in Yangzhou.

Now designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit, it is situated at No. 10 Sanduo Lane, Wanzijie, in the urban area. Wang Shaotang (1889–1968), a native of Yangzhou, was a master of Yangzhou Pinghua, Vice Chairman of the China Quyi Artists Association, and a deputy to the Third National People’s Congress. His storytelling performances of "Wu Shihui" and "Song Dahui" have been compiled and published in the books Wu Song and Song Jiang. The former residence is a traditional Qing Dynasty-style home, featuring a main courtyard house laid out as a quadrangle with three rooms, two side wings, and a matching structure. It preserves furniture and related items once used by Wang Shaotang. The residence is currently inhabited by his descendants.
