Purple Bamboo Guanyin Nunnery is now a municipal-level cultural heritage site, located at No. 5 Xiao Jing Lane, Huai Shu Jiao, in the city center. It was originally a family nunnery built by the Chen family during the late Qing Dynasty. The structure faces south and has three courtyards, covering an area of about 1,260 square meters. The first courtyard is seven bays wide, while the second and third are each five bays wide, with corridors on both the east and west sides. The backyard has three rooms on the east side and three on the north side. The main hall of the third courtyard is seven rafters deep, with a crabapple-patterned rolled shed in the front corridor. The entire building is well preserved. To the east is the Wu Family Mansion, and to the west is the former residence of Zhu Ziqing. These cultural heritage sites can be connected to form a tourism route.
