The Former Residence of the Huang Family Salt Merchant is a cultural relic protection unit of Yangzhou City.

Located at No. 2 and No. 4 Shijiangjun Lane, it was built in the late Qing and early Republican period by its owner, Huang Xian’an, who once served as a section clerk in the Qing Financial Affairs Bureau and as an acting county magistrate in Anhui. The residence is divided into eastern and western sections, facing south and situated on a north–south axis. The eastern part features a fine-bricked gate tower. Upon entering, the southern side houses a sedan-chair room, while the northern side contains the main hall, with corridors on both the east and west connecting to the main hall. The main hall has a rolled-beam structure with three visible bays and four hidden bays. Behind the main hall lie three successive living quarters, all consisting of three rooms with two side chambers. At the rear of the residence is a small courtyard, with a woodshed located to the north. The western part of the residence has a brick-carved gate tower at the front and a Sino-Western style bungalow at the back, spanning five bays in width. Its walls are constructed with alternating blue and red bricks, featuring arched doors and windows with wooden louvers. This building remains well-preserved to this day and is currently inhabited by descendants of the Huang family.
