The Jing Family Residence is a cultural heritage site protected by Yangzhou Municipality.

The Jing Family Residence

Located at No. 28 Xinsheng Street, this was the home of Jing Jiancheng, the owner of Jingjitai Tea House, and is a late Qing Dynasty building. Jing Jiancheng ran his business in Yangzhou and was known for being sociable and proactive. He often promoted the affordability and quality of his tea to owners of teahouses, bathhouses, and theaters. As his business expanded, he successively purchased several properties on Xinsheng Street. Later, due to a downturn in the market, business declined. In 1956, Jingjitai joined the public-private partnership initiative and, together with several other local businesses, was restructured into "Luyangchun," with its storefront located on Jiaochang Street. The Jing Family Residence features a small entrance hall facing the street, a small courtyard just inside, and to the west, a three-courtyard, three-room, two-wing style residence spread across three sections. Six rooms of the residence are interconnected by courtyards. The eastern part of the courtyard originally housed a living room, which has since been renovated.
