Dizang An

Dizang An is a cultural heritage site protected by the Yangzhou Municipal Government.

Dizang An

Located at No. 34 Wan Hong Fang, it was originally built during the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The scripture depository of Dizang An is situated at Wan Hong Bridge. The temple gate faces south, with a screen wall standing in front. The mountain gate hall has three bays and houses the Maitreya Buddha, the guardian deity Skanda, and the Four Heavenly Kings. The second section consists of three bays forming the main hall, which enshrines the Dizang Bodhisattva. The third section is a two-story building with three bays on each floor, where the Goddess Dizang is worshipped and includes a room dedicated to her. There is an east-side corridor connecting the mountain gate hall to the main hall. To the east of the hallway between the main hall and the rear building are the abbot’s quarters, guest hall, dining hall, monks’ dormitories, and other facilities. There is also a hidden chamber.
