The residential house at No. 16 Tongyun South Street is a cultural relic protection unit of Yangzhou City.

This Qing Dynasty residence faces south and has five courtyards extending from front to back, with a total construction area of 490 square meters. From south to north, it comprises a gatehouse, a ceremonial gate, a main hall, and two sections of living quarters. Each section has three bays in width, features a flush gable roof covered with small tiles, and is flanked by firewalls. Both the main gate and the ceremonial gate are made of finely laid bricks, and there is a rolled shed in front of the main hall. A fire lane is located to the east of the residence. The overall structure is well preserved.
