No. 24 Suchang Street, Lu Family Residence is a cultural heritage site protected by Yangzhou City.

No. 24 Suchang Street, Lu Family Residence

A Qing Dynasty residential building facing south, the original main gate has been demolished. The existing structure consists of five courtyards in a row, covering a construction area of 570 square meters. The first courtyard is a two-story building with six rooms on both floors and four side rooms; the second courtyard is similar to the first. The third and fourth courtyards are of the “opposite-facing” quadrangle style, each with three bays in width. The fifth courtyard features a two-story building with six rooms and four side rooms. The buildings have largely retained their original state with minimal renovation. The eastern garden has been destroyed but its original layout remains evident. The original owner of the residence was a member of the Lu family who ran a silk and satin business.
