The Qianye Guildhall on Guangling Road is a cultural relic protection unit of Yangzhou City.

Qianye Guildhall on Guangling Road

Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, the site includes the surviving east, middle, and west sections, with a total construction area of 926.5 square meters. The middle section retains a west-facing rubbed-brick ceremonial gate, along with one hall and one residential unit. The hall faces south, with three bays in width and seven rafters in depth. Its beams and columns are large in size, and it features a front rolled awning. The east section has two parts, front and back, designed with a layout of three visible and four hidden rooms, each with four bays in width and seven rafters in depth. The west section has three parts, front to back: the first part is a two-story building with three bays and two side wings; the second part follows a three-bays-and-two-wings layout with a depth of seven rafters; the third part is a kitchen, with three bays in width and five rafters in depth. This guildhall serves as a historical witness to the development of Yangzhou’s money exchange industry during the late Qing and early Republican periods.
