The Rolling Dragon Well is a cultural relic protection unit of Yangzhou City.

Rolling Dragon Well

A Qing Dynasty water well located at the entrance of Longjing Lane in Dingjiawan. As recorded in *The Record of Yangzhou Painted Pleasure Boats*: “...to the west of the road lies the Well Hall, which connects to the Kitchen Monastery, where there is a spring with crystal-clear water.” This refers to the original site of what is now the Rolling Dragon Well. Originally, a wooden shed was erected over the well with a roller mechanism, and buckets tied to both ends of the well rope were used alternately to draw water. The wooden shed has since been removed. The well walls are built with blue bricks, and the stone well curb is made of bluestone. It is well preserved and currently serves as a domestic water source for local residents.
