The Zhao Family Residence is located at No. 10, Mituo Lane, and is a structure built during the Republican era. The residence follows two east-west axes: the eastern section consists of a garden and a flower hall. It is currently inhabited by Zhao Jie, a descendant of Zhao Zhishan. Although the flower hall has been converted into residential space, its original structure remains intact. The western section comprises four courtyards arranged front to back, each spanning three bays, interconnected by internal courtyards. Currently, the fourth courtyard of the western section is used as office space for Caiyi Community. Between the eastern garden and the flower hall, there is a wall with a gate inscribed with the characters “Changchun” (Evergreen), signed “composed in the middle of spring, 1943, by Hanguang.” This residence features an east-garden-west-residence layout, with the garden and living quarters arranged in parallel—an uncommon design among typical vernacular dwellings.
