The Aurora Middle School Auditorium is a cultural relic protection unit of Yangzhou City.

In the 9th year of the Republic of China (1920), it was established in Yangzhou by French Jesuit Father Charles de Smedt and was initially called St. John Berchmans College. It was later known as the “Yangzhou Preparatory School of Aurora University.” In the 20th year of the Republic of China, it was renamed the “Private Yangzhou Aurora Middle School Affiliated to Aurora University,” and was officially registered with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. Initially, only the senior high school department was opened. After the 21st year of the Republic of China, the junior high school department was added. In the 24th year of the Republic of China, a system of separate schools for boys and girls was adopted. It was discontinued in July of the 38th year of the Republic of China. Currently, one teaching building remains, which is largely structurally intact, with its exterior walls finished with ceramic tile cladding.
