The Hejia Battle is also known as the Yanling Victory or the Jiuli Battle. On November 8, 1939 (the 28th year of the Republic of China), the 0th Regiment of the 1st Detachment, the New 6th Regiment of the New Fourth Army, and the Danyang Independent Detachment encircled and annihilated Japanese invaders in the area around Hejia Village.
