The Ancient Yellow River Modern Agriculture Sightseeing Demonstration Park is located in the Zhikou area of Shuangzhuang Town, bordered by Nanhai Road in the Suicheng New District to the east, the Ancient Yellow River to the south, the boundary between Zaohe and Shuangzhuang to the west, and the second line of the canal embankment to the north. Covering a total area of 6 square kilometers, it is a comprehensive park integrating agricultural integrated development, industrialized management, and sightseeing agriculture. The initial development area covers 2,345 mu, with a total investment of approximately 100 million yuan. It includes an efficient horticultural production demonstration zone, an ecological economic forest area, and a sightseeing, leisure, and resort area. Within three years, the base aims to become a new-type sustainable agricultural demonstration zone with a solid industrial foundation, distinctive rural features, profound cultural connotations, diverse service functions, efficient management, and a superior ecological environment. It will serve as an important complementary attraction to Suqian’s tourism industry, and as a distinctive model of sightseeing and leisure agriculture in northern Jiangsu and even across Jiangsu Province. Currently, seven enterprises have settled in the park, forming areas such as edible mushroom production, fresh-cut flower production, melon and vegetable picking, and artistic stump bonsai display. The bonsai display can be enjoyed year-round, the fresh-cut flower area from June to November, and the edible mushroom, vegetable, and fruit picking area from May to December are the best times for visits.

There are three tourist hotels: Zhikou Xinju, Jianghaiyang Grand Hotel, and Lüyou Mountain Villa. Featured local dishes include Zhikou crayfish, Luoma Lake mixed fish, and stove-cooked chicken. Local specialties include BaWang Crystal Hawthorn Cake, Shuangxingnong brand “Three Guarantees,” and Zongxin brand melons.
