Kitchen God Temple

The Kitchen God Temple is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Suqian City.

A municipal-level cultural heritage site, located on Caishenmiao East Street in Sucheng District. It is a typical example of northern Qing-style architecture, built in the mid-Qing Dynasty. The temple originally had a main hall consisting of three bays, 11 meters wide and 7.9 meters deep, with a ridge height of 7 meters and a flush gable roof. There were also four auxiliary rooms on the east side, 13 meters wide and 6 meters deep, with a ridge height of 6 meters. In addition, there were two auxiliary rooms on the west side and a three-bay entrance gate. Currently, only the main hall and the eastern auxiliary rooms remain. The main hall is largely intact, but the eastern auxiliary rooms have suffered severe damage due to long-term neglect. In the autumn of 2004, the municipal and district governments invested in its restoration.
