The Exhibition Hall of General Wang Zheng’s Life and Deeds is a classic red tourism attraction and a patriotic education base.

Stepping into the Exhibition Hall of General Wang Zheng’s Life and Deeds, located in Luoyang Town, Wujin District, one is greeted by a lifelike statue. Dressed in a heroic posture with resolute eyes, we can't help but hold deep reverence for General Wang Zheng, praised by Chairman Mao as the “founding father of China’s red communications.”

Comrade Wang Zheng was a senior general of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. He participated in the second, third, fourth, and fifth anti-“encirclement and suppression” campaigns in the Central Soviet Area as well as the 25,000-li Long March. Under the leadership of proletarian revolutionaries such as Chairman Mao, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De, he made outstanding contributions to the establishment and development of our army’s communications industry, pioneering radio reconnaissance and electronic warfare, creating news broadcasting and postal services, developing the electronics industry and cutting-edge science and technology.

After the founding of New China, Comrade Wang Zheng held positions including Minister of the Communications Department of the Central Military Commission and Director of the Telecommunications Industry Bureau, Party Group Secretary and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Director of the PLA Communications Corps, Deputy Director of the Fifth Research Institute of the Ministry of National Defense, Minister of the Fourth Mechanical Industry Ministry, and Vice Chief of the General Staff of the PLA as well as Director of the Fourth Department of the General Staff. He was a member of the 10th and 11th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China, a member of the Central Military Commission, and a member of the National Defense Committee.

For decades, Comrade Wang Zheng worked diligently, tirelessly, and selflessly, serving the people with dedication. He earned the trust of the Party and the respect of the people. His life was one of revolution, struggle, and wholehearted service to the people. His noble spirit and exemplary character will forever be remembered in the hearts of the people.

The Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission highly value Comrade Wang Zheng’s unique contributions during China’s revolution and construction, giving full recognition and high praise to his life. Inside the exhibition hall, the introduction to General Wang Zheng’s life and deeds chronicles important events from his youth when he aspired to serve the country through military service, to his early revolutionary achievements, his remarkable military successes, visionary missions, and lifelong dedication until his last breath. On the message board of the exhibition hall, Major General Wang Sumin, eldest son of Comrade Wang Zheng, personally inscribed a message: “Inherit our fathers’ aspirations and strive for the communist cause for life.”

Luoyang Town: Known as the “Pearl Town of China,” Luoyang Town is located in the southeastern part of Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, bordering Wuxi. It is close to National Highway 312, the Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, the Xinchang Railway, the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, the Yanjiang Expressway, and the Xiyi Expressway, offering very convenient transportation. The town covers a total area of 55.77 square kilometers, governs 25 administrative villages and 3 community neighborhood committees, with 402 villager groups. It has a registered population of 51,900, including 8,723 non-agricultural residents.
