Recently, in Wujin, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, mainland China, a rather massive lotus-shaped building has been completed, covering a total area of about 3.5 hectares. It is the "the Lotus Building Lotus Convention and Exhibition Center" designed by Australian studio studio505.It serves as a cultural landmark for Wujin District in Jiangsu Province and as a center for various exhibitions and performances. The petal-shaped steel structure enveloping the main building blooms elegantly and boldly, truly resembling a large-scale installation artwork. It not only beautifies the surrounding scenery but can also be regarded as a perfect combination of modern architectural technology and art.

The "the Lotus Building Lotus Convention and Exhibition Center" is situated in an artificial lake in Wujin District. It is a complex of three lotus-shaped structures, with petals rising above the water’s surface. At night, the reflections in the water showcase the fantastical and beautiful neon light show of the lotus, bringing more vibrancy and liveliness to Wujin’s evenings.

Beyond serving as a landscape beautification feature, this lotus incorporates many modern engineering technologies, presenting awe-inspiring decorative structures. Beneath the artificial lake, there are 2,500 geothermal pipelines that turn the entire lake into a giant temperature regulator. The Lotus Convention and Exhibition Center can thus utilize the surrounding lake water to help regulate the building’s temperature, achieving the goal of internal energy conservation.
