Barchilin Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Group 19, Martyrs' Cemetery Village, Hekou Town, Rudong County, and is a cultural relics protection unit of Nantong City.

Protected area: south to the north wall of the Martyrs' Primary School classrooms, north to within 2 meters outside the cemetery wall, and east and west to within 2 meters outside the embankment slopes on either side of the river.

Construction control zone: north to Shuangyuan Road, south to the school’s southern fence, east to the outer embankment slope of the river, and west to 4 meters outside the outer embankment slope of the river.

Hekou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Rudong County. In 1941, it was divided into three townships—Mazhuang, Zhao’gang, and Huayuan. In 1957, they were merged to form Zhifu Township. In 1958, Zhifu Commune was established, renamed Hekou Commune in 1965, changed to Hekou Township in 1983, and became a town in 1994. It is located in the northwest of the county, 60 kilometers from the county seat. The area covers 32 square kilometers with a population of 21,000. The Jianghai River, Nan?wei Canal, Weiqiao Canal, Cuibisi Canal, and Roufeng Canal flow through it, all connected to the river network. Industries include textiles, machinery, building materials, chemicals, food processing, electronics, printing, papermaking, clothing, and aquaculture.
