The Hometown of the White Dragon Scenic Area is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Qingdun Site originated in the Li Xia River water town of Hai’an, where the beautiful and moving local legend of the White Dragon is set. It is said that the White Dragon, the youngest son of the Dragon King of the East Sea, was banished to the mortal world by the Jade Emperor for violating heavenly laws and was reborn as a little white ox. A kind-hearted girl from the water town adopted and cared for the little white ox. Ten years later, the White Dragon was finally allowed to return to heaven, and the love story that unfolded between them during this time has been passed down through the ages.

The Hometown of the White Dragon Scenic Area in the Jianghuai Cultural Park is a physical representation of this legendary tale. It consists of White Dragon Lake and Reclining Dragon Isle, connected by Leaping Dragon Bridge, Sages’ Bridge, and Mingdao Bridge, and complemented by Coiling Dragon Hill, Dragon Light Pavilion, and Lotus Willow Pavilion, creating a picturesque homeland of the White Dragon. This place inspires imagination and hope, reflecting the splendid history of Hai’an and even the broader Jianghuai region, as well as a promising future ahead.
