The "Blue Print" mural on Hai’an Road, a popular Tainan attraction, becomes history as the wall is painted white

The famous "Blue Print" attraction on Hai’an Road in Tainan City had been the subject of rumors since last year that its iconic blue wall, which had stood for 10 years, would be painted white. Today, it was reported that painting workers were whitening the "Blue Print" wall, causing many tourists who loved the Tainan Blue Print and those in the cultural and artistic circles to feel regret.

The Hai’an Road Art Street project was launched ten years ago, and it has almost always been listed as a must-visit spot when traveling to Tainan. The unique wall of the "Blue Print" artwork by Tainan architect Liu Kuo-chang attracted numerous visitors who came to take photos, making it a popular photo spot.landmarkIt also served as a classic backdrop for many couples taking wedding photos. Nearby the Blue Print, there were also restaurants and handmade goods shops that tourists loved, giving the entire street a distinctive and leisurely vibe, and further invigorating the nearby Shennong Street by injecting new vitality and elements into the old houses.
