Former Residence of Shan Yu Hua

The former residence of Shan Yu Hua is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Jiangsu Province and serves as a patriotic education base.

The former residence of Shan Yu Hua was donated to Taizhou Dapu Primary School by Mr. Shan Sheng in 1995.

To promote the patriotic spirit of Shan Yu Hua and Shan Sheng, it was decided in August 2005 to renovate the former residence. Adhering to the architectural styles of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the project aimed to restore the building to its original appearance. By early 2006, the restored former residence had become simple, elegant, and completely renewed. It stretches approximately 47 meters from east to west and about 30 meters from north to south, covering a total area of around 1,200 square meters. The residence houses the “Shan Yu Hua and Shan Sheng Patriotic Deeds Exhibition Hall.” It is now a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Taizhou and serves as a municipal patriotic education base.
