The National Anthem Exhibition Hall (National Anthem Memorial Square) is a patriotic education base.

The national anthem of the People's Republic of China is "March of the Volunteers", with lyrics by Tian Han and music by Nie Er. It was born in the critical moment of life and death for the Chinese nation in the 1930s, serving as a battle cry for the modern Chinese people’s resistance against imperialist aggression and their fight for national independence and liberation. "March of the Volunteers" is the theme song of the film "Children of Troubled Times". The National Anthem Memorial Square and the National Anthem Exhibition Hall are located in Yangpu District on Jingzhou Road, the original filming location of "Children of Troubled Times". The National Anthem Memorial Square and the National Anthem Exhibition Hall are the first memorial square and exhibition hall in China dedicated to commemorating the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. They were completed and opened to the public on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China.

Covering an area of 27,000 square meters, the circular open-air National Anthem Memorial Square looks like a vinyl record from afar. The square features a national anthem memorial sculpture and a flagpole. The National Anthem Exhibition Hall is situated southwest of the memorial square, with a total area of 1,500 square meters. It consists of a foyer, the Hall of the Anthem’s Birth, the Hall of Anthem Commemoration, the "Me and the Anthem" Hall, the Anthem Impact Hall, and the World Anthems Hall. With the story of the national anthem as its main thread, patriotism as its keynote, sound effects as a highlight, and display, education, collection, and research as its four key functions, the exhibition hall comprehensively showcases the background, creation process, singing, and influence of "March of the Volunteers" through over 600 cultural relics, documents, and historical photographs. It fully demonstrates the charm of the national anthem and inspires love for the Party and the country among people from all walks of life.
