Huimin Park

Huimin Park was built and opened to the public in November 1959. Located at 724 Huimin Road, Yangpu District, it is named after the road. Covering a total area of 8,000 square meters, it is classified as a Double-Quality Park.

In June 1959, it was designated as a children's park by the Greening Office of the People’s Committee of Yulin District, with an investment of 30,000 yuan. It opened in October of the same year. Due to the high population density in the area and the scarcity of nearby recreational spaces, it was also open to adults. The park is situated east of Xuchang Road, west of Fenzhou Road Kindergarten, south of the Shangsi No. 2 Factory, and north of Huimin Road. Facing north and backing south, it is primarily designed for children's play activities, laid out in a courtyard style. Along the perimeter walls are shrubbery plantings, mainly evergreens, interspersed with flowering shrubs that bloom in different seasons, and hedges formed by large-leaved boxwoods.
