Siping Science and Technology Park

Siping Science and Technology Park is located north of the Inner Ring Elevated Road on Zhongshan North Second Road, west of Siping Road, south of Guotai Road, and east of Zhengxi Road. The planning and design were jointly undertaken by the Shanghai Second Light Industry Architectural Design Research Institute and the Yangpu District Landscape Design Office of Shanghai. Construction began on March 28, 2002, and was completed on December 30, 2003. The park was opened to the public free of charge starting December 31, 2003.

The site area of Siping Science and Technology Park is 70,329 square meters (approximately 105 mu), of which the green space covers 47,011 square meters (including 35,011 square meters in Phase I and 12,000 square meters in Phase II). The construction was carried out by Shanghai Yangpu Landscape Greening Construction and Maintenance Co., Ltd. The park features 1,000 trees, over 1,700 flowering shrubs, 4,400 square meters of ground cover, and 17,900 square meters of lawn, with a total of 80 plant species.

The terrain of Siping Science and Technology Park is undulating, complemented by large areas of turf, tall trees, and seasonal flowering shrubs. With plant landscaping as the main theme, the park incorporates waterfront platforms, a lake, and a science and technology corridor, fully reflecting the concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

As one of Yangpu District's open urban public green spaces, Siping Science and Technology Park integrates a high-tech incubation base, a science and technology conference center, and a science and technology exhibition center. The park’s planning highlights three major themes: the Knowledge Line, reflecting the park’s contemporary connection with science and technology knowledge; the Landscape Line, linking the Bund, Lu Xun Park, Huangxing Park, and Siping Science and Technology Park; and the Cultural Line, prominently represented by the organic integration of the nearby Zoumatang waterway and green culture in the southern part of the park, showcasing unique features and historical context.
