The Shanghai Yangpu Court Museum is a patriotic education base.

The Shanghai Yangpu Court Museum is located on the sixth floor of the People's Court building and is the first museum in Shanghai dedicated to introducing legal culture and court development.

The museum exhibition hall covers an area of 200 square meters, featuring 16 display panels, over 200 images, and more than 100 physical objects and models. Organized chronologically, it is divided into five sections: "The Culture of Law," "Founding and Endeavor," "Trials and Tribulations," "Revitalization and Development," and "Moving Toward the Future." The exhibition comprehensively showcases the progress of global legal systems, the evolution of ancient Chinese legal systems, and modern Chinese legal culture. It also highlights the formative stages of New China’s legal system and the challenging early days of the court system, the severe damage suffered by Shanghai’s judicial bodies during the Cultural Revolution, and the comprehensive recovery and rapid development of the court system after the downfall of the Gang of Four. Additionally, it presents the admirable spirit of New China’s judges—dedicated to justice, committed to learning, serving the people, and advancing with the times despite hardships.
