Feidaifu, alias Fedefu, was a native of Shanghai. He joined the Communist Party in 1925, went to the Soviet Union for studies in 1926, returned to China in 1928, and served as the director of the Shanghai East District Labor Federation in 1930.

Feidaifu was born in 1907 at No. 98 Taopeng Road (now Tongbei Road), Yangshupu, Shanghai. He was the second child in his family and, from an early age, studied at a private school in Baidaitou with his younger brother. Later, he was admitted to Nie Zhongcheng’s Chinese Public School for Foreign Children (now Shidong Middle School). Influenced by progressive teachers, he actively participated in student movements and became a leader of the student union. After the May 30th Incident in 1925, students from four municipal schools formed a student union, issued a declaration, announced a strike, and joined the Shanghai General Student Union. Feidaifu actively mobilized 90% of the students at his school to join the strike, march on Nanjing Road, distribute leaflets, and organize benefit performances for a full month. In 1926, the Party organization sent him to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow. After returning to China in 1928, he engaged in labor movement activities in Shanghai. From October 1930 to January 1931, he served as the director of the Shanghai East District Trade Union Federation. He frequently went deep into factories such as the Ewo Cotton Mill to carry out labor movement work. Due to betrayal by an informant, he was arrested on the afternoon of January 17, 1931, at his residence in Mingyuanfang on Huade Road (now Changyang Road). After being imprisoned, he remained calm and composed, mentally prepared to sacrifice himself for the revolution. In the early hours of February 7, he was taken along with 23 others, including Lin Yundong, Rou Shi, Yin Fu, He Mengxiong, and Li Qiushi, to the execution ground of the Longhua Songhu Garrison Command. Along the way, he shouted slogans such as “Long live the Communist Party of China!” and was martyred bravely at the young age of 24. He is one of the renowned 24 Martyrs of Longhua.
