Lilac Garden at Tianchi Lake

The Lilac Garden at Tianchi Lake is located on Dalian North Road in the Harbin Development Zone. It officially opened to the public on September 17, 2009, covering an area of 13.1 hectares. It is one of the free lilac-themed parks in the main urban area that Harbin is building as part of its initiative to become a "City of Lilacs."

The garden's landscape is designed with water encircled by pathways, divided into an inner ring—a waterside loop—and an outer ring—a scenic loop. The inner ring primarily features bright and lively lilac varieties as the main planting trees, while the outer ring is designed to create a better overall scenic effect, using large green areas with micro-terrain for scenic lilac arrangements, along with open spaces dedicated to rare lilac species. From the water-viewing area, the outer ring serves as a backdrop to the inner ring, where the foreground is vibrant in color and the background forms a dense forest.

Visitors strolling along the main loop can enjoy the complementary beauty of the lilac landscapes in both the inner and outer rings.
