With420guest rooms, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern, Taipei, has recently completed the first phase of renovation, which included240rooms. The next phase will involve renovating180guest rooms and suites, as well as the Executive Lounge, public areas on the first floor such as the driveway, lobby, Tea House, and Fragrance Lounge. The project is expected to be completed early next year, welcoming guests with a fresh new appearance.

To strengthen its market competitiveness, the hotel has not only enhanced its business facilities but also set a precedent among domestic tourist hotels by introducing customized services. These include flexibly adjusting the “Premium Business Meeting Rooms” according to customer needs and launching a new room type — the “Super Deluxe Room,” which are the most talked-about highlights of this renovation.

This time, the hotel has carefully crafted modern guest rooms that blend Chinese and Western elements, inheriting the original Chinese Song Dynasty artistic charm and timeless classic elegant design. The serene and reserved ambiance exudes a rich cultural and artistic atmosphere. Each room features a ceiling height of over three meters, creating a sense of spaciousness, while large floor-to-ceiling windows allow abundant natural light to flood in. Taipei’s famous landmark101Taipei Financial Center and the bustling urban scenery transform with the changing light of day and night, offering guests breathtaking, limitless views. Thoughtfully placed collectible art pieces, contemporary audiovisual entertainment equipment, along with high-quality selected furniture and warm, bright color tones, provide guests with a cozy, homelike experience.
Another highlight of the renovation is the addition of a new room type between standard guest rooms and suites — the “Super Deluxe Room.” This perfectly planned space combines living, working, and resting functions, along with an oversized walk-in closet connecting the bedroom and spacious bathroom, offering guests a more comfortable and luxurious room choice.
