Heilongjiang Urban Agricultural Tourism Industrial Park

The Heilongjiang Urban Agricultural Tourism Industrial Park is located in Minzhu Township, Daowai District, Harbin, covering an area of 8,410 mu. It was jointly developed by the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Harbin Municipal Government, with a planned investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The park aims to establish a green ecological science and technology demonstration base dedicated to ecological development, integrating research, planting, breeding, and tourism & leisure.

The park’s construction began in 2010, and so far, infrastructure such as internal and external loop road networks, road greening and upgrades, rezoning and land consolidation of over 6,000 mu of general farmland, a 2,000+ square meter machinery shed for modern agricultural machinery cooperatives, the Duck Gully Water Diversion Lake project, and the Plant Factory project have been completed. The park’s tourism offerings are being gradually and deeply developed, including small vegetable plots, field picking, and modern agricultural sightseeing. Leisure experience programs that have been successfully promoted include organic dining, board game competitions, hiking, camping, bonfire parties, and outdoor barbecues. The agricultural science education projects not only yield significant research outcomes but also serve as a base for youth agricultural knowledge education, making them one of the park’s distinctive tourism features. A total of 200 rented small vegetable plots for farming experiences have been planned and opened to the public, and the 560-mu Spring-Autumn Peach and Plum Garden showcases all fruit tree varieties in Heilongjiang as well as cold-region berry species for visitors.

Minzhu Town: Situated on the alluvial plain on the southern bank of the Songhua River, it connects to downtown Harbin to the west, borders the Songhua River to the north, lies against Tianheng Mountain to the south, and neighbors Acheng and Bin County to the east. The township covers a total area of 132 square kilometers and is known as the “Jiangnan of the North and a Land of Fish and Rice.” It administers 10 administrative villages and 46 natural villages, including two Korean ethnic villages. The population is 28,125, with 7,856 households and 16,572 laborers, accounting for 58.9% of the population.
