March and April each year are the blooming seasons for chinaberry flowers. When in bloom, they emit a fragrant scent and are excellent as ornamental garden trees, street trees, and suitable for afforestation along the coast. The blooming chinaberry flowers display a delicate light purple hue, with rows of tall and neatly interlaced trees forming a sea of blossoms that resembles a fantastical fairy-tale scene – making it a great spot for spring outings and flower appreciation.

1. Chiayi Liujiao Township (Anwan Bridge, Puzih River Flood Control Path) – Taiwan’s Longest
Chiayi’s Liujiao Township is home to Taiwan’s longest and most beautiful chinaberry tree tunnel. When the flowers are in full bloom during March and April, the entire shaded boulevard transforms into a tunnel of chinaberry trees, even subtly emitting a faint fragrance, creating a scene straight out of a fantastical fairy tale.

2. Taichung Longyang Bridge – Taiwan’s Version of Meguro River
Located between Taichung’s Huanhe Road and Section 3 of Huannan Road, Longyang Bridge also features a beautiful chinaberry flower attraction. The white chinaberry trees by Longyang Bridge are neatly and lushly planted along both sides of the stream. The dense green tree-lined boulevard paired with the scenic stream creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Tokyo’s famous cherry blossom spot, Meguro River, offering delightful views.

3. Changhua Old Zhuoshui River Bicycle Path (Dongluo Stream) – A Hidden Chinaberry Gem
In addition to the fiery red kapok tree avenues, the Dongluo Stream bicycle path in Changhua along the Old Zhuoshui River is also currently in full bloom with chinaberry flowers. This hidden chinaberry flower paradise stretches over 4 kilometers along both the south and north banks of the Old Zhuoshui River, featuring a stunning silvery-purple scenery that is truly captivating, and can be enjoyed together with the kapok tree avenues. 

Transportation: Take National Freeway 1 (Zhongshan Expressway), exit at Beitou Interchange → turn right toward Beitou → pass by CPC Corporation gas station → turn right at Zhongliao Bridge (you can see Beitou Driving School at the intersection)
