Traffic Control on Sun Moon Lake Loop Road from Nov 15 in Coordination with Sun Moon Lake Cycling Festival

In coordination with the “2015 Sun Moon Lake Cycling Festival Carnival,” the parking lots within the Xiangshan Visitor Center will be temporarily closed to the public from 12:00 noon on November 14 to 2:00 pm on November 15. Vehicles are advised to park in nearby parking areas. Additionally, certain sections of the Sun Moon Lake Loop Road will implement one-way traffic control and road closure measures from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on November 15. Except for official, emergency medical, and event-related vehicles, all other vehicles must follow the directions of police and on-site management personnel during the control period.

The Jiji Branch of the Nantou County Police Bureau announced that one-way traffic control will be enforced on Section A: Provincial Highway 21, Kilometer 65+800 (in front of the Xiangshan Visitor Center) to Kilometer 60+900; Section B: Provincial Highway 21A, Kilometer 0 (Jiulong Intersection) to Kilometer 7; and Section C: Provincial Highway 16, Kilometer 20+600 to Kilometer 25+800 (near Poshixiang Intersection) from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on November 15. The outer lane of Provincial Highway 21, from Kilometer 68+500 to Kilometer 65+800 (from Toushe Police Station to the Xiangshan Visitor Center, water-river direction) will be closed to traffic during the same period. Roadside parking is prohibited on the two-lane section of Provincial Highway 21 from Kilometer 60+900 (Zhongshan Road and Zhongzheng Road intersection) to Kilometer 65 during the control hours. However, roadside parking will be allowed on the outer lane of the four-lane road on Provincial Highway 21 at the Jiulong Intersection toward Yuchi and on the outer lane of the four-lane road on Provincial Highway 21 at Kilometer 65 toward Toushe.
