The popular New York dessert Lady M has finally officially launched in Taiwan, but the first two days of opening attracted many people queuing up. By the second day, before the 10 a.m. opening time, there were already over 50 people in line, with the earliest arriving at 8 a.m. It’s believed that even more will come earlier on holidays, which means longer queues. However, besides lining up to buy, there are actually three other secret ways to enjoy Lady M’s mille crêpes cake.

Secret Tip 1:Book the 2017 wedding package at Taipei’s Regent Hotel—The Moment. Regardless of whether the couple chooses a Chinese or Western-style wedding banquet, the final dessert course can be selected as Lady M’s mille crêpes cake to cap off the happy occasion. Of course, if you have friends getting married at the Regent, persuade them to choose Lady M’s mille crêpes cake as their final dessert.

Secret Tip 2:Purchase the American Select Grade Oven-Roasted Ribeye or the American Oven-Roasted Tomahawk Steak, two takeout New Year’s Eve dishes (priced at NT$6,888), and you can add on Lady M’s 6T Strawberry Mille Crêpes Cake (NT$1,600) for just NT$1,000. This option is only available with Western-style New Year’s Eve dishes.

Secret Tip 3:Azie Grand Café, located on the same first floor as the Lady M takeaway counter, offers a Lady M set that includes classic French mille crêpes cake, cheese cloud cake, and vanilla chocolate cake. A single slice of cake paired with a drink costs between NT$430 and NT$440. However, Regent’s PR team stated that quantities are limited and depend on how many slices the Lady M counter can provide. If you want to try it, it’s best to arrive right when it opens or make a reservation by phone in advance.
