Ashi River National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Heilongjiang Harbin Ashi River National Wetland Park is located in the eastern part of Daowai District, Harbin City, between Xianfeng Road and Changjiang Road, at the entrance to the Harbin Ring Expressway and the Hada Highway. It enjoys convenient transportation and a superior geographical location, just 10 kilometers from the city center of Harbin. The protected area of the wetland park extends east to Baicai Village in Tuanjie Town, Daowai District, south to Changjiang Road, west to Shentong Logistics Park, and north to Xianfeng Road. Its geographic coordinates are 126°45′28"–126°47′22" east longitude and 45°45′09"–45°46′29" north latitude, covering a total area of 229.90 hectares. Of this, wetland area accounts for 152.20 hectares, making up 66.20% of the total. The park features river and marsh wetlands, representing a rare urban wilderness wetland ecosystem and serving as a typical example of the wetlands in the Ashi River basin.

The development of Heilongjiang Harbin Ashi River National Wetland Park adheres to the principle of sustainability, aiming for harmonious progress in ecological environment, economic benefits, and social benefits. On the basis of effectively protecting the wetland ecosystem, the park carries out the conservation and rational use of wetland resources, conducts public education and outreach on wetland ecosystem knowledge and protection to raise environmental awareness. It also makes full use of the wetland landscape resources to develop ecotourism rationally, establishes an ecological agriculture base in the suburban area of Harbin, where citizens can pick green food themselves, and provides a leisure space for the public to experience and enjoy nature. A cultural education center will be established to inherit and promote ethnic and folk culture, as well as uphold socialist core values. As facilities continue to improve after completion, the ultimate goal is to develop the wetland park into a comprehensive destination integrating wetland resource conservation, science education, and ecotourism—boasting a distinctive overall image, complete infrastructure, unique wetland landscapes, and rich regional cultural characteristics.
