The Harbin Church of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Church of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God, also known as the Church of the Protecting Veil or the Ukrainian Church, is located at No. 268 Dongda Street, Nangang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. It was originally an old Russian cemetery where a stone prayer house about 2 meters high was first built, housing an icon of the Virgin Mary and candle stands.

A wooden church was built in 1922. In 1930, under the design of renowned Russian architect Gidano, and inspired by the artistic style of Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia in Turkey, the current brick-and-stone structure church was reconstructed on the site of the original wooden church. It serves as the church of the Harbin parish of the Chinese Orthodox Church.

Both in Russia and Harbin, the ??? of the Virgin Mary are revered. It is a ???, and from there ???, continuing ancient religious rituals even after the East. Therefore, the church not only houses icons of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, but also those of dozens of saints.
