Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Church is located 500 meters south of the Jinfeng Agricultural Production Brigade in Jinshantun District, on the east side of the Fengnan (Jinshantun to Nancha) Highway. It is an 82.2-square-meter Russian-style log-frame building. Built in the early 1930s by Belarusians, it is the Eastern Orthodox Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos, commonly referred to as the Orthodox Church. The church faces south with a wider west side and narrower east side, has a gabled roof covered with wooden planks, and features a three-tiered inverted step eaves design — a classic example of European architecture.

According to elderly residents who lived here in the late 1940s, after its completion, the church became a place of worship and gatherings for over 100 Belarusian families from nearby Xilin, Meixi, and Nancha. In 1982, after investigation and evaluation by provincial and municipal cultural relics authorities, the Orthodox Church was designated as a district-level cultural heritage protection site.
