The Tao Mountain Bureau is China’s first nationally opened state-level hunting ground. In recent years, it has also developed new tourism activities such as winter skiing, Hulan River rafting, and tours of pristine forests.

The natural landscapes are uniquely charming, with attractions like the Ancient Tao Mountain Cave, Hanging Sheep Peak, Stone Pagoda and Green Pines, and Yingzui Rock delighting visitors and keeping them enthralled. Within the jurisdiction of the Tao Mountain Forestry Bureau, there are vast expanses of pristine Korean pine forests, as well as original broadleaf forests of three major hardwood species: Amur cork tree, Manchurian ash, and Manchurian walnut. The bureau is located in Tao Mountain Town, Tieli City, and the Harbin–Jiamusi railway line runs through the town. The Harbin–Yichun expressway is just 18 kilometers from Tao Mountain, offering convenient rail and road access.

The jurisdiction includes 20,000 hectares of non-forestry land, making for abundant land resources. The current land area spans 150,000 mu, with fertile soil, a moist climate, and ample rainfall that are ideal for growing a variety of grain and legume crops such as soybeans, rice, corn, and potatoes. The annual total yield of grain and beans exceeds 18,000 tons, including over 14,000 tons of soybeans annually. The soybeans are of high quality and sell well across the country.

Transportation by Bus: Take a bus from Yichun to Tieli, then transfer to a minibus or taxi heading to the Tao Mountain Forestry Bureau.

Self-Drive Route: Starting from Yichun, get on the Hegang–Harbin Expressway (Hegang–Harbin Expressway), drive 111.9 km, exit at Frozen Soil Bridge No. 6, go straight for 6.5 km, turn left and drive for 8.6 km, pass Tao Mountain Village, then turn right and drive 300 meters to reach the destination.
