Yanzhi Mountain in Tieli

Yanzhi Mountain is located within the Ailin Forest Area of the Shuangfeng Forestry Bureau in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. It is named Yanzhi (Swallow’s Nest) Mountain because its shape resembles a swallow’s nest.

The mountain features steep and rugged terrain. Its ridges are exposed with bare rocks, and the vegetation is sparse and low-growing, while precious yansong (a type of pine) grows at the summit. The mountain ridge consists of three peaks, all over 1,000 meters above sea level, with the main peak reaching 1,162 meters. Nearly 20 peaks of varying sizes make up the entire mountain.

The main attraction is the sea-eroded pillars and reefs formed over millions of years by the constant lashing of seawater. These formations, resembling bamboo shoots, are called Yanzhi Stone Shoots. This scenic area stretches approximately 300 meters in length and 100 meters in width, featuring diverse shapes, varying heights and sizes, and colors resembling real bamboo shoots. They appear and disappear with the rise and fall of the waves, creating a stunning seascape of reefs. About 2 kilometers to the northwest of this site lies a bay surrounded by pebbles, known as Caishi Pond (Colorful Stone Pond). Other attractions include Xiangpeng Wanghai (Facing the Sea from Xiangpeng), Tongpan Lingtao (Listening to the Waves from Tongpan), and Taolin Chunxiao (Peach Grove at Dawn). The main theme of this scenic area is: camping and holiday resort.

Transportation by Bus: Take a bus from Yichun to Tieli, then transfer to a bus heading to the scenic area.

Self-Driving Route: Starting from Yichun, get on the Hegang–Harbin Expressway (Heihe–Harbin Expressway), drive 111.9 km, exit at Tieli, go straight for 4 km, turn left and drive 8.6 km, pass Taoshan Village and continue straight onto Yingbin Road – Taoshan Street – S203 for 75.9 km – then drive 8.7 km on the North Ring Road, turn right and drive 17.8 km to reach the destination.
