Tieling Park

Tieling Park was built in 1982 by the Tieling County government after a citywide voluntary tree-planting campaign on the unused original riverbed. The park mainly retains its natural form, and its facilities are relatively basic.

Nowadays, over 5,000 residents come to the park daily for walks and exercise, and the existing main facilities can no longer meet the requirements of building an ecological city or the needs of residents.

Tieling City commissioned experts from the School of Landscape Architecture at Harbin Institute of Technology to conduct a comprehensive planning of the park. The plan incorporates the regional characteristics of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, with the theme of creating a cold-region ecological park. It aims to develop Tieling Park into a botanical garden that is cultural, experiential, and entertaining. The project also includes overall enhancement and expansion along with the construction of the riverside scenic road, and the completed area will be expanded to 32 hectares.
