Nestled at the foot of the Greater Nanshan Mountain in Raohe and by the South Lake along the Ussuri River, the area features enchanting scenery and fresh air, with the beautiful sight of a river flanked by scattered islets and the idyllic charm of grasslands dotted with greenery and grazing animals. South Lake Park is a recreational venue that combines dining, entertainment, leisure, vacationing, fishing, and tourism.

The park is divided into several areas: the central dining and fishing zone, which features uniquely designed, quaint wooden cabins and the River-View Pavilion; as well as a Russian-style cultural area and a villa community with traditional Chinese ethnic architectural elements.

South Lake has four small islands that act as natural barriers, dividing the 2,800-meter circular water area into multiple graceful and narrow S-shaped waterways. Around the lake, green grass flourishes and shady trees abound, with occasional clusters of safflower standing gracefully amidst them—when the breeze blows, they resemble brides in their wedding dresses. The lake surface shimmers, dotted with floating duckweed, while small fish swim playfully beneath their shelter.

As you paddle through the lake, colorful ducks and egrets will cheer and flutter around you; butterflies and dragonflies dressed in vibrant hues will dance before your eyes; graceful herons will whisper softly by your ear; and the gentle aquatic plants will sway beneath your boat. Not far away, you might even spot a few oxen gently nodding at you...

The first phase of the South Lake Park project has commenced. Large sun umbrellas and tables and chairs have been set up on the islands, and water amusement activities such as pleasure boating officially launched on July 18, 2000 (featuring a variety of paddle boats and motorboats in animal shapes)!
