Yanshanhong Ski Resort is located 9 kilometers south of Jiagedaqi, the capital city of Daxing'anling, covering an area of 160,000 hectares. It is the northernmost ski resort in China built to the highest domestic standards and also the largest and best-equipped ski resort in western Heilongjiang Province. The resort sits at an altitude of 581 meters with a vertical drop of over 200 meters, and features beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski runs, with a total length of over 3,000 meters, catering to skiers of all levels. It also serves as a training ground for the national team. The ski season is long, lasting from October to May each year, allowing skiing throughout most of the winter.

The resort has a comprehensive ski equipment hall that integrates accommodation, dining, and leisure entertainment, along with a high-altitude cable car and tow lifts. The second floor of the equipment hall houses a ski rental shop, a shopping mall, a VIP reception room, and a guest lounge. The restaurant is located on the third floor and offers delicious Chinese and Western cuisine. The third and fourth floors feature mid- to high-end guest rooms, making it an ideal place to rest.

The resort currently offers snow activities such as a snowboard park, alpine skiing (accessible via cable car), snowmobiles, snow tubing, sledding, and horse-drawn sleds. After the completion of the second phase, the total length of ski runs will reach 10,000 meters (including a 5,000-meter cross-country trail), and new attractions such as a snowboard half-pipe and ski jumping will be introduced.
