Xing'an Lake Tourist Resort

A new "Xing'an Lake Resort" has been developed in the mountain forests on the southern slope of the Greater Khingan Mountains near Jiagedaqi. The woodland villas, featuring the distinctive charm of northern forests, are scattered in an orderly fashion, with each wooden structure uniquely designed. Wooden boardwalks stretch across lush flower-lined paths, and a multifunctional training center building has been completed and put into use.

A 50-hectare artificial lake gathers pollution-free natural spring water, producing nearly 50,000 kilograms of cold-water fish annually. Ancient-style corridors stretching several kilometers and several pavilions span the shimmering lake surface, where the waters are alive with imitation boats, animal-shaped vessels, bumper boats, and water-play crafts. In winter, the lake becomes a skating rink, and plans include building a 1,010-square-meter swimming pool. Surrounded by mountains and dense forests, the resort covers an operating area of more than 2,500 hectares.

In recent years, it will also become home to sports fields, horse racing tracks, shooting ranges, hunting grounds, ski slopes, and a children's playground. Currently, the resort welcomes about a thousand visitors daily, who stroll through the woods, enjoy forest bathing, play chess in the villas, fish by the lakeside, or set up pots to stew fresh fish…
