The former residence of Peng Zhen, Secretary of the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, is a classic red tourism site.

The former residence of Peng Zhen, Secretary of the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, is located in Heping Subdistrict, Meihekou City, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters.

During the Chinese Civil War, the Kuomintang forces assembled a large military contingent and launched a major offensive against the liberated areas in the northeast. As KMT troops advanced steadily toward Shenyang, the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee relocated multiple times and moved from Benxi to Fushun, and then to Hailong in January 1946. Those working here included Peng Zhen, Secretary of the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary-General Wu Xiuquan, Director of the Political Department Chen Yun, and Head of the Organization Department Lin Feng. At the time, Peng Zhen, who was serving as Secretary of the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, lived in a second-floor room of this building.

The former residence of Peng Zhen at the Northeast Bureau was originally owned by the Meihekou Railway. It initially served as staff housing for railway workers, later became a railway workers' school after 2000, and by 2011 functioned as an office building for railway property management.
